Terms and conditions

Damaged goods disclaimer:
  1. Isabelina reserves the right to deny/limit any product returns and will not be held liable for the incorrect maintenance or application of any items after the sale.

  2. All items must be quality inspected upon receipt of delivery and signed for in the presence of the designer/operations person making the delivery.

  3. The client/proxy receiver must sign to confirm that the item/s have been inspected and found satisfactory.

  4. In the event that the client/proxy receiver acting in the client's interest, cannot be present to sign off a delivery, another date must be decided on for delivery at the client's cost.

  5. Alternatively, the client/proxy receiver may inspect goods in-store before being packaged for delivery (by a third party) and signed for in acceptance to coincide with Isabelina's final quality inspection.

  6. After purchases are signed for, they will not be considered for refund or credit thereafter due to theft, loss and damage or otherwise, especially in cases where the items are stored for future use.

Deliveries:
  1. The customer will be charged for the cost of delivery which will be reflected on the appropriate invoice in accordance with the prevailing Isabelina policy.

  2. Isabelina distribution centre will contact the customer to arrange delivery on any weekday between 09h00 and 16h00.

  3. Reasonable endeavours will be made to deliver the product on the arranged time and date.

  4. Circumstances that are unforeseen or beyond Isabelina’s control may result in changes to the agreed delivery date and time of which the customer will be telephonically informed and alternative arrangements will be made.

  5. The customer is required to inspect products on delivery. The customer or the person taking delivery on behalf of the customer will be required to sign a proof of delivery (POD).

  6. Unless indicated to the contrary on the POD, it is deemed that the product has been delivered and received in good condition and, where appropriate, in accordance with the customer’s specifications.

  7. The customer must ensure that the place of delivery is accessible; that the product delivered can fit into lifts, staircases or through doors and that all the relevant areas have been cleared prior to delivery. This includes the removal of breakable objects.

  8. No products will be hoisted over balconies or through windows unless previously arranged at cost to the client. We cannot take responsibility for any damage incurred by moving and carrying fragile and heavy items up steep stairs to the upper floors and narrow passageways as these require specialized moving equipment.

  9. The customer accepts the risk of all damages that may result due to non-compliance by the customer.

  10. The customer will be charged for additional delivery costs due to failed deliveries, access problems and/or failure to adhere to the appointment time for the delivery/collection.

Moveable technology:

Client's responsibilities related to televisions, sound equipment, related appliances eg. Dstv, x-boxes, PlayStations, configuration and all light switches. 

The Client acknowledges and agrees that they are solely responsible for removing, transporting, and reinstalling their own televisions and sound equipment and related items/appliances from and to the Premises before the Contractor commences the installation of the Services. The Client is also responsible for relocating any light switches that may interfere with the installation of the Services. The Contractor shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses arising from the Client’s failure to do so, or from the Contractor’s incidental handling of such items during the performance of the Services. The Client shall indemnify and hold harmless the Contractor from any claims, liabilities, or costs resulting from the Client’s televisions, sound equipment, related items/appliances or light switches.

Warranties:

Isabelina will only be liable to honour a warranty if:

  1. The defect existed at the time of delivery and manifested during the warranty period.

  2. The defect did not arise due to normal wear and tear or misuse/abuse by the customer.

  3. The product concerned is used for the purpose intended and in a domestic environment (unless the latter requirement is waived by Isabelina in writing); i.e. commercial use is not warranted.

  4. The customer duly complied with good care and maintenance.

  5. The customer provides the original invoice.

Upholstered furniture warranty:

  1. Upholstered furniture is warranted for a period of 2*years from the date of delivery/collection in respect of the frame and craftsmanship.

  2. The warranty does not extend to the upholstery foam, fabric or leather used to upholster the product as this is subject to wear and tear associated with use.

  3. Furthermore, usage and treatment in the customer’s environment are beyond Isabelina’s control.


Warranties do not apply to:

  1. Defects or damage arising from negligence, abuse or misuse, including (but not limited to) improper maintenance – referred to as ‘dressing’, exposure to water, direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, coastal air, chemicals, accidents, any use for which the product was not designed, nor does it cover ordinary wear and tear.

  2. Placing furniture or flower arrangements outdoors in direct sunlight or close to an open heat source (heaters, fireplaces, barbeque stands).

  3. Sitting on arms and backs of the sofas, rocking on dining chairs causing joints to split.

  4. Extreme use is considered damage caused by more than normal wear and tear this includes:

  • Solvent spills

  • Ink

  • Paint

  • Body fluids (human or animal)

  • Improper cleaning techniques

Quotations

Quotes are only valid for 14 days.
Goods remain the property of Isabelina Retail until full payment has been made.

When the client appoints a third party to assemble and hang the lighting, the client/proxy receiver must sign to confirm that the item/s have been inspected and found satisfactory in-store or upon delivery. In the event that the client or a proxy receiver acting in the client's
interest, does not wait to have every part inspected, they waive any rights and Isabelina will not consider the item for refund or credit thereafter, including any item received damaged, stolen, lost, or otherwise, especially in cases where the items are stored for future use.

 

Assembly suggestion guide
1. Before attempting to hang or clean any lighting fixture, the area beneath should be decked with a soft blanket or bubble wrap layer to deflect any falling parts.
2. Certain lighting parts may be irreplaceable due to their exclusivity.
3. All our lighting must be handled with extreme care.


Cleaning Solution
If using any chemical products to clean lighting please ensure that they are safe to use on all lighting pieces prior to application.
